Why do a lot of people think male figure skaters are gay?

Its mainly because of the costumes they wear and that they are figure skating. Some people just automatically assume.

Probably because of the spandex but people who say male figure skaters are gay have no right! No one says that girl ice hockey players are lesbos. So why say guy figure skaters are gay

But I think its that girls say male figure skaters are gay because they wish they could be that graceful and look good in spandex.
and guys say that because they think they supposed to and that they would be called gay if they don't say male figure skaters are gay.
