Will blue ray dvds play in a regular dvd player?

My blue ray player broke. Can I connect my old dvd player and use it for blue ray dvds until I get a new one?

No, because the readers in a standard dvd player won't recognize the digital media format imbedded in the blu-ray disk. However, you can play standard dvd's in a blu-ray player
