Can a Blue Ray dvd player play playstation games?

NO. A Blu-ray player can only play movies not games. It doesn't have the hardware and software that it needs to play PS3 games that's why they make PS3's. Plus there is no HDD in a Blu-ray player so it could not save game data which is required for all PS3 games to work.
 
My sister was wondering can a blue ray dvd player play playstation games?
I thought so! I told her it couldnt, but she wanted me to ask the question anyways. Thnx guys...this should convince her :)
 
No, a regular blu ray dvd player cannot play any games unless the games come on the dvd that you are watching. if you buy a ps3, which plays blu ray dvds, it can play playstation 3 and playstation 2 games.
 
no. the coding for games and dvds are diffrent. but a ps3 can play dvda
